Here is the first sample of my characters within the defamiliar narrative. I plan on each clip being about this long. I consider the narrative for this video complete. Additionally, because I have access to a Interchangable Lens Sony Handycam, I can record clips very precisely at a micro level. I think the lighting is proper.
-Current issues I'm thinking about is if the webcam is the proper video quality I need in regard to my intentions of the video. I believe that the quality is justified due to the fact the narrative is told from the POV of the camera. In juxtaposition, I will use the micro-level video to express the defamiliar "expressions" of the characters. An example would be a close-up of crumbling crackers to express anger. I can overlay the video to give it the relation to the character.
-Secondly, the characters are meant to use deadpan, but I need to use a microphone for sound, which I can easily get.
The video is very rough. I plan to reshoot it with the microphone. More video samples coming soon.
This set is part of a repetitive three part series that serve as a transition between clips as the videos become more deconstructed.
